About the Program

1 in 7 kids go to school without the most important meal of the day

A good breakfast can not only change a child’s morning it can make a big difference to their future. Unfortunately 1 in 7 Australian children arrive at school each day without having had breakfast (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2013).

The School Breakfast Clubs program is an initiative of the Victorian Government in partnership with Foodbank Victoria. The program will deliver healthy breakfast foods to 500 of the most disadvantaged primary schools across Victoria, reaching approximately 25,000 vulnerable children and their families.

The Alvie Consolidated School Breakfast Club will run each Tuesday morning beginning on

Tuesday 18th July

and enables children to enjoy a nutritious breakfast, allowing them to engage and participate fully in all the educational and social opportunities that the school years offer.

We will be offering the following for breakfast: Vita Brits & Milk, Instant Oats, Tinned Fruit and Baked Beans.

In order for your child to participate in this program you will need to complete the attached form and return it by Monday 17th July

Allergen advice: The oats and the Vita Brits are completely nut free. They do not contain nuts, nor have they been processed on machinery that comes into contact with nuts. Both do contain gluten.
